Bear Awareness and Avoidance

Alberta Safety Council Oriented.
This program is created to provide recent avoidance information to hikers and employees who enter Bear Country. It is not designed for hunters. As these wild animal’s habitats are encroached upon, bear confrontations have become more frequent, and in some cases, predatory. The course will cover Grizzly and Black Bear characteristics, handling bear sightings and encounters, camp set-up and food preparation, deterrents and Legislation. Lecture and movie format. Up to 4 hours. 3 year certificate ticket awarded after open book exam successfully undertaken.

$75 + 3.75 tax = $78.75 (Group rates may be available, based on size of class participants)
